Brady Quinn was an ESPN and Notre Dame hype production.
For some reason, this country is fascinated with Notre Dame. R.Mirer anyone. And we all know what ESPN can do. Oh, and C.Weiss didn't help either. One would assume that C.Weiss has done an outstanding job, but his record is identical to T.Willingham's first two years at ND. Plus, T.W. didn't have the luxury of having B.Quinn in his Junior and Senior years at QB. Instead he had A.Battle at Qb, who now plays WR for the Niners.
Draft pundits like to say that B.Quinn is an NFL ready prospect, but I see B.Quinn as a QB who has peaked. C.Weiss has taught him everything he needs to know, and that is all you're going to get. He may improve a somewhat in the pro's but his potential is right here and now.
He is/was the most NFL ready QB, but in college he struggled against top end D's. Even though he looks like he lives at the gym, he lacks the arm strength to throw many balls required in the pro game. B.Quinn better run a west coast offense if he wants to stick around in the Not For Long. |
