| How is it that someone who wins the Heisman Trophy last year gets picked #174 in the draft? |

| College ball is known for gimmick defenses/offenses. These schemes make players play better, but really aren't protypical NFL players. Think Nebraska, Cal, BYU Qb's. |

| all I have to say is that as a 49ers fan I can't wait to get this season under way, 9ers filled holes that needed filling. I said last year that the 9ers would make the playoffs and they blew it by lossing two games at the end, (to all those who don't know they had a tie breaker against seattle had they ended with the same record) This year, they are going to be western champs, no boubt! |

I think the Niners had a very solid off-season. Solid draft. They got better, while Seatle didn't. Arizona drafted like teams should, by drafting on both lines.
Surprise pick of the 1st round goes to Ted Ginn Jr at #9.
The Patriots are Superbowl Champs on paper. Best off-season.
Worst off-season goes to the Chargers. Everyone else got better but they stayed the same. They lost a solid LB, and replaced him with a 3rd rounder. |

I would have to say the worst draft belonged to the Redskins who failed to fill their most pressing needs, primarily pass rush. |

| Looks like Keyshawn made a fool of himself during the draft after praising the Panthers' new WR and how he was going to be his mentor. The Panthers released him yesterday, so that ain't happening. |

The Vikings already have a good quarterback in Tarvaris Jackson and having Peterson should only make him better. Peterson is a much better football player than Brady Quinn. Then again, I don't know crap about football strategy.
I was hoping Quinn would drop down even further as he sat there trying to act all pretty boy in the beginning. Funny how they sent him back to the greenroom to save face. How can he live with himself after being passed up by the same team who later picked him? He should've been holding up a #2 Browns jersey. Pobre vato. |
