We had a ridiculous presentation about abstinence in school today. I'm saying it was ridiculous, not because I'm the typical teenager who favors sex before marriage, but because the guy would say very broad generalizations like, "pimps, rockstars, etc. don't have great sex, married couples do."

Do you agree or not? Where do they come up with this crap? Even if it's true, how is that supposed to keep us from having sex?

That didnt piss me off as much as when he lied. He said that HPV isnt curable,which it is, just like any other type of warts.

Apart from that I never laughed so hard in my life.

He went on to say that ANYONE he knew in high school that had sex is all srewed up now. Also that the best sex in the world is marital sex, if you were a virgin up until that point. I would like to see him try to prove those two statements with his abstinence or die pamphlets. So much for his pure fact lecture.

Haha, I completely forgot that he said that. I thought it was pretty ridiculous. So basically, all sexually active teens, even people who have had sex before marriage which could be 25 year olds or way older, are miserable.

I haven't done my research, so I may be wrong. But he said that condoms only protect guys, so girls can still get stds. He either said that, or something very similar, I don't remember that well. That's probably bullshit as well.

Today was full of bull. Presentations about not doing drugs when there's staff members who are drug addicts? A couple getting kicked out of the gym because they were hugging? WTF?

Mr. Barraza said he reads everything we post online. I hope he reads this. I actually like him, except for his whole point of view on hugging.

I liked the gang members presentations. I dont think I was the only one that thought one of them looked like coach Appodaca.

One of the officers brought in this dog and it was supposed to find this "hidden" joint.

the dog found it and it was like a foot long and made of rubber ( i guess it had mj inside) but i could have found it faster just looking. it was just on the floor and it took like 2 min.

yea it was pretty lame most of what the guy said was bs he didnt even answer the questions just tried to sound smart by saying they're stats from a national organization or something like that they should of given comdoms away instead of trying to keep us from doing sex. also in what way did the comments the girl made endanger the audience Confused

As an educator it makes me feel good hearing actually students talk shit about the abstinence only sex ed programs they are so much bullshit. Kids need to learn how to put on a fucking condom, because if you look around at any school you are going to see a growing percentage of students becoming parents.

I mean sex isn't like drugs, where they tell you don't do it because it fucks up your life. Imagine if they started saying drungs are bad until you get married, then it is one of the best parts of your relationship, give me a fucking break!

If a kid wants to fuck they're gonna fuck, show them how to not get pregant when they do it so that I don't have to teach their fucked up offspring fifteen years later.

Who gave this presentation, just out of curiosity? The ideology of this presenter sounds a lot like that of a health teacher I had some years back when I was going to IVC.

I never cared much for useless graduation requirements like a health class so a bad teacher wouldn't have bothered me otherwise. But after hearing this specific teacher's backwards, religious, biased, and unfounded philosophies, I seroiously felt ripped off.

i got news for this sex-ed joker. A study was just released proving that abstinence programs work about the same as no programs at all (I read it in the SD Union).Kids are gonna screw no matter what. Abstinence is all and good but it is UNREALISTIC. Better to show kids how to protect theselves (male/female condoms are ok). All this BS about marital sex....well for me at least it's been great. Been married 20 yrs and still screw happily all the time. But I did screw my first time at 17 and have NO REGRETS. I think its best to be realistic with kids and teach them protection and monogamy, not unrealistic religious dogma....I hate PC bullshit!
Maybe this dude is a Republican....they have lotsa sex issues...mainly if you are umarried and enjoying it...it's wrong! Crazy huh? What's next...the sex police?
