If you don't have international calling through AT&T on your home phone, what's the next best option besides buying calling card?

Is there a good 10-10-2020-type number out there with a good rate (and no hidden fees) for Mexicali?

Sprint offers calls to Chicali for $5 bucks a month. It's way cheaper than the "Senorita" cards I used to buy to call las Chicalonas.

You're best bet is to add a calling plan on your cel. You can either have a International calling plan or just add a feature that cost 3-5 bucks a month. Verizon charges 3-4 bucks a month and 10 cents per minute. You don't have to dial any special 40 digit codes, just dial the way you normally would. Though be careful because calling a cell, house number, or texting requires different formats.

I got a Sprint mailer the other day which offered lower international rates for $4 a month. Mexico was $0.09 per minute with the plan and $0.39 without it.

The bad part is if you call a MX cell phone they add another $0.18 per minute regardless of being on the plan or not, which totally VPV cause who doesn't primarily use a mobile phone in Mex?

With Verizon you can't call Mex without the plan. So you have to get the Intl calling plan, plus .09 cent p/m. There is no extra charge for calling cels (yet).
