| I heard a rumor that Calexico Fire Chief Carlos Escalante was retiring or was fired. Can someone please check this out. I need a job. If he can do it I think that I can do it better. |

I think I can do good. I am from Calecia and I know how to kiss up to the city council. Plus I would listen to the troops and get them what they need. I also would take the secretary to buy Ice Cream and go to city hall and hug and kiss all the girls there. Touchy feely kind of way. Oops I said too much  |

Never mind, he resigned and plans to retire around next week.
The current fire captain will be named interim fire chief. Who's the fire captain?

Hobbit you are right there are more qualified people than me, but I just wanted to see if any else had heard what I heard. I went around and asked who the Captains were and I must say that they have some real good ones. I believe that they kept the Dept going even when Escalante was there. I hope that Pedro Frank Mercado gets it. Pedro is a young man that is very Knowledgeable and even has a degree. I remember his father Capt Mercado(RIP), he would be very proud of him.
If you resign and leave in such a hurry, it sounds more like what Donald Trump says " You're Fired!! "
