I was sitting around the other day, thinking about all the things I want to have someday: a nice house, nice car, pool-table, flat-screen t.v., a computer that won't go obselete after a year, dsl connection, etc...

Then I started doing the calculations, and I was like, well I can do without the pool-table, and the flat-screen t.v. Then I did more calculations and thought, well, I guess I don't need dsl connection, 56k will do. Then more calculations, don't need a nice car, a decent one will do. Then did calculations again one last time and thought, how the hell am I gonna afford a house?!!!

I'm not making the big bucks right now, but I remember hearing once that 40k a year in the valley is pretty good. But that ain't shit! I think more like 50k minimum (joint income).

That same day, I went to Wal-Mart and saw a bunch of people that I knew from high school driving around in nice new cars and I started thinking, how the hell do these people do it? Did they even graduate from High School?

Do these people you know still live at home? That might be how they can buy this car.

Up here, I see alot of black people riding around in nice cars like Escalades, lexus' and what have you. Some of them look like professional people that would be able to afford that sort of car but some of them look totally ghetto. I think what these people do is buy the car with a tiny down payment, sign up for the longest payment plan they can and still live in a tiny, ghetto-ass apartment.

Drive through any government housing in Calexico and you'll see all sorts of fine looking rides sitting outside the funkiest looking roach motels!
