For someone born in Israel, David Feitelson of ESPN Deportes sure does a lot of Hugo/Mexico bashing.

When was the last time the Israeli football club made the World Cup?

D.Feitelson is in your classic ESPN broadcaster ala Steven A. Smith, Skip Bayless who think they are the story. Some how their take is derived from God himself. The other guys on that Picante show are pretty cool. They keep it real, but Feitelson has to be dramatic and over top.

Funny to see Feitelson trash Hugo for Copo Oro, then after the Brazil game he was very quiet. Extremely quiet. It took him nearly a day to print his stuff on-line after that game. Then as Mexico played better he was quiet, but on the eve of the Mex-Arg game he printed an article stating that nothing short of beating Argentina would be a complete failure for Hugo. In other words, he set himself up for a lambasting of Hugo and the Seleccion. He single handedly made me erase ESPN deportes off my list.

I read that C.Blanco called him out a couple years back. I bet he shit his pants.

In 6 months Hugo has had to deal with old regimes trying to influence the clubhouse, change old tricks/habits by switching to the 4-4-2, 3 out of the top 4 players leaving the squad, and overcoming every hater out there to installing a system that just gave the Seleccion a 3rd place finish in Copa America.

Colombia and USA (at the Azteca) are next. Hopefully, G.Dos Santos gets called up.

In six months the Seleccion dropped to 24, but today Mexico is in the top 10.

16 slot jump. Now Hugo's goal is to break into the top 5 within 2 years.

When MEX was ranked #4 in the world, it still got us owned by the Args in the World Cup 2006. Owned at #26, #10, #4 and possibly even #1.

Right now now is a good time for nation of Argentina to invade Mexico and declare the land as Nuevo Argentina.

Mexico ties Nambia 2-2.

Now Mexico loses 2-3 to Guatemala?

I missed both games, but it looks like Mexico is kicking ass.

My understanding is that the Sub-23 is playing right now to prepare for the 2008 Olympics, right?

Hugo needs to qualify the Sub-23 for the Olympics. He better not use any excuse if he fails because he couldn't get the Big 3 from Europe.

Actually, Hugo with all the talent that he has, needs to produce a medal plain and simple.

March 31st will be a big day for Hugo. Tomorrow el Tri will play with 10 European stars in London. Should be a good game.

As for Hugo, he needs to be fired because he brought this upon himself. His lambasting of La Volpe should come back and bite him in the ass. He had no business directing the Sub-23 as it was Chucho's to direct, but he wanted the glory. Just a pure results from the Olympic qualifier Hugo should be fired.

However, Hugo should not be the only one fired. First, the directors who failed to pay the European clubs to bring the real talent to the team. The U.S.A. was able to bring all their European stars to their squad. Second, all the players should be expelled from the National team for at least a year. Starting with Memo. He had a horrendous outing. The last game against Haiti was so horrendous that it was comical.

FYI: Mexico vs. Ghana is scheduled for 1 PM PST.

You can either follow it on ESPNDeportes.com or FIFA.com.

Also, Telemundo will broadcast the game live on channel 35 (antenna). Not sure about Dish, DirecTV or cable.
