What's the word on the proposed train-based transit system in Mexicali that is supposed to travel all the way to Mexico City?
I've heard a few people mention it before, but haven't seen anything in the media about it. From what I remember, it's supposed to be a "bullet" or high-speed transit train, which would do wonders for getting further south into Mexico from here.
Any info? |

But AMLO won...
So is there anything planned in the near future that will make it easier to travel south?
How about the Mexicali airport being renovated or expanded to offer more flights at more competitive/reasonable rates?
What ever happened to the carretera that was to be built which would bypass having to drive through San Luis and taking you directly to Hermosillo?
Is anyone even traveling south or is everyone just moving up north and staying here? |

Why would you want to travel south, its better up here?
But I agree they should renovate the Mexicali airport to include bigger planes and more cargo... I’m betting that with that new Silicon Border thing, that’s probably what’s going to happened |

That's what I'm hoping for. Cheaper airline fares out of Chicali. |
