Democrats are now in power.

they have the house and the senate taken over for the first time in more than 12 years. In 1994, Newt Gingrich and the republicans ran the dems our congress for the first time in history. In 2006, the Dems are back in power and they start today.

Having a new majority and having our very own Bob Filner as the veterans affairs committie chairman, would would you like to see from the democrats for the next two years?

What would you like them to do with the war, the economy, illegal immigration, etc,etc,etc...

Speak.

Filner also represents EC, why would he act against them building it there?

It is my understanding that any new VA Hospital needs site specifications- proximity to public transportation, veterans population data and public request for proposals on land acquisition. Let's face the reality: Calexico-Heber-El Centro is Mexicali Norte and it's the same area

There's only one thing I'd like to the this party do and that's to impeach President George W. Bush.

Oh, and Bill Clinton back in the Oval Office:

Billary.

How about they build a VA hospital where most homeless veterans seem to hang out: Between Costco and K-Mart.

You seriously dont think that theres a significant amount of veterans in the Imperial Valley... do you... I know at least five people that are veterans that live in the valley, im pretty sure you do to... Plus it would also cover the Yuma area i presume...

When we speak of veterans, do we mean pre-Gulf War veterans or all veterans.

It seems to me that veterans who went to Vietnam are the most shell shocked.
