I came across a Fast Facts page on the City of Calexico Web site and noticed they have Wendy's Restaurant listed under Commercial Industrial (New).
The data seems up-to-date as it also lists the EPL, Quiznos, Rite-Aid and the new WaMu businesses.
When and where is Wendy's coming back to Calexico? |

I guess Wendy's isn't returning to Calexico afterall. The Fast Facts page doesn't list it on there anymore, but guess what?!...
It does list a new gas station coming to Cole and Bowker soon.
Hip-hip-hooray! Hip-hip-hooray! Hip-hip-(cough cough cough)...

Man, they should have never taken the old one out...I always thought(when I was a kid) that the prizes in the kid's meal were fun....I just had Wendy's yesterday and I don't see why Calecianos wouldn't like it...they're tasty, filling, and squared!
I think it'd be doing better now than it was in the 90's |

No diggity! (Thought I would celebrate the memory of Wendy's in Calexico by dusting off some Nineties slang. Sorry.) But the question with all businesses in Calexico is not so much whether or not the appeal to Calexicans, but if they appeal to Mexicali folk. This is why we have the highest Jack In The Box to resident ratio in the world (note: completely unconfirmed fact). Maybe it's menu items like Chili with onions and cheese, maybe it's the higher-than-your-average-fast-food prices, or maybe it's that Wendy's doesn't seem to market to hispanics the way Jack and Mac do, but for whatever reason people from Mexicali don't seem to like Wendys. |

Lies. Wendy's has a half pound jalapeņo burger. You know all Mexicans love jalapeņos. |

Ha ha! Yeah, they especially love them smothered in nasty yellow cheddar cheese substitute. |
