| As the final step in finishing expressway 86 from Indio to Brawley, it has occurred to me that they are connecting it directly into Highway 111. Though I know that they are going to keep the Highway 86 signs from Indio to Brawley and then the Highway 111 signs from Brawley to Calexico, I ask… Why not make the whole route Highway 111??? It would make a lot more sense to have the whole expressway be one designation rather than two…. What do you guys think?? |

| If I am not mistaken, S/R 111 runs all the way into Indio. It runs on the east side of the Salton Sea. |

| Yes thats true, but im asking if it wouldnt be a convinience for most people if the expressway 86 become the 111 so that it can be one expressway and not two connecting roads... |

They should just build one over the Salton Sea and call it Expressway 197. |

But then what would we call the portion of 111 that runs from Brawley to Calipatria to Niland to Bombay Beach before meeting with the 86 north of the Salton Sea? |
