Of course, the taxi system in Mex would need to cater to these people and be tourist friendly. Transit in IV could get smart and transport these people back home if they were under the influence or there's always the designated driver. |
Yep, it would definitely need security… I think that Mexicali and its taxi business would definitely adjust to the crowds going to Mexicali. There are a lot of taxi’s and if both the City of Calexico and the City of Mexicali get together to coordinate this, it would definitely become very beneficial for both cities. Plus there’s always the “instead of meeting at someone’s house and leaving everyone’s car there” some people just might say, “hey lets meet at the parking structure”. There are also the businesses around that area, for example new taco places or other restaurants moving near the parking structure for those people who rather get back to the states a little earlier in order to beat the crowds… There are many possibilities that can come with one or even more parking structures in downtown Calexico. |
