Contest: Calecia.com's Best Halloween Costume 2006

Isn't Halloween great? When else can you dress up in ridiculous costumes and not get ridiculed by your friends, fellow students and/or co-workers? I guess this doesn't apply to goths, although Halloween is a great time for them to go to the extreme...

Well the folks here at Calecia.com are putting together an online Halloween costume contest where the winner will come out with a prize, and maybe more. Right now we've got a lovely Calecia.com Large Mug, the envy of coffee/champurado drinkers everywhere and just in time for those cold winter mornings. We're looking to add some more giveaways (If you're interested in donating a prize, please contact us at halloween@calecia.com).

The rules are simple. Send us a photo of you wearing your Halloween costume to halloween@calecia.com and Calecia.com staff picks the winner. The costume that gets the most attention (laughs, amazement, etc.) and becomes our favorite wins. Pretty easy.

In order to keep this contest somewhat local, all entrants must have some ties to Calexico, Imperial Valley, and/or Mexicali. So if you've moved on out, just give us some background about yourself or where you grew up or include yourself in the photo(s) with a recognizable local site we're all familiar with. And just to make sure you haven't just snapped up a pic of Beetlejuice at Universal Studios, we're requiring all photos to include a simple sign with the words "Calecia.com 2006."

Note: All photos will be posted on Calecia.com so everyone can enjoy them. If you wish to conceal your identity, either let us know or blur out your personal traits (e.g. - face, tattoos, deformities, etc.).

Deadline: All entries must be received before 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 5, 2006.

It's too bad I personally won't be able to compete in this contest, as I've got what I believe to be the best all-time Halloween costume. I'll still throw up a pic of myself when I wear it and put everyone else to shame. It'll be hand-made by yours truly.

Oh, and I'm working on adding more prizes for the winner to make it even more competitive. More details to come...

Don't forget to submit your Halloween costume photos before 11/6/2006.

I already wore mine, but I need to get a hold of my photo.

Also, if you can get pics of ridiculous costumes worn by your co-workers, schoolmates, or just random people on the street... submit them. They won't necessarily get entered into the contest, unless you get their consent, but everyone on here could use a good laugh.
