There will be another rally in the downtown port of entry at 7:00 AM on Thursday.

I think this is the last (in a while, at least). This one was scheduled when the committee was formed and is to included Bob Filner with the presentation of the signed petitions.

the committee should also ask the CBP port officials why it isn't easier for handicapped people to go southbound into Mexico. I've seen people in wheelchairs going in through the exit fighting the stampede of border crossers because they can't cross through the turnstiles and the CBP officers that are sitting by the xray machine can't or won't open the side door. Even if they do open the door the disabled have to exit through the pedestrian entrance and we all know how considerate the crowds are. It seems to me they might be in violation of some federal law that protects the handicapped.

Get in Contact with one of the disabilities organizations, you'll see that they'll make them get on the ball... and fast!

On Monday evening a suspected illegal immigrant fell off the fence and died in the southbound pedestrian tunnel at the downtown POE. as he was trying to jump the fence he fell backwards landing on his head and practically dying instantly it was pretty gruesome. I thought that would make news but i didn't see it in the IVpress, maybe the IV Daily can get the scoop. Possible CBP cover up to avoid anymore negative press.
