Five new members appointed to Calexico planning commission

The Calexico City Council appointed five new members to the planning commission on August 1st to oversee and help with the development of the city.
The new members of the Planning Commission are Iran Martinez, appointed by Councilmen Louis Fuentes; Mohamed Asiad, appointed by David Ouzan; Guillermo Hermosillo, appointed by Carmen Durazo; Carlton Hargrave by John Renison; and Edward Higuera by Mayor Lewis Pacheco.
"The role of the economic commission is to assist the council on projects and developments. We study environmental impacts and we study projects for the city," John Moreno said.

Hargrave owns Hargrave Restaurants LLC and runs the Hometown Buffet restaurant located on Cole Rd in Calexico.
Asiad holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and he owns Star Consultant in Calexico.
Hermosillo owns Hermosillo & Hermosillo Inc, Quick Stop and Document & Legal Service, Guillermo Hermosillo Ventures, Inc, Imperial Valley Auto Loans, Inc, Imperial Valley Taxi, RIM Semiconductors, G&G Auto Sales/U-Save Car & Truck Rental, and Used Car Sales and Rentals.
Higuera is a retired IRS auditor and currently owns stock in Qualcom, an electronics firm in San Diego. He also participates in a business called Tax Consulting, and works for Small Business Development Center, where he gives advice to small business owners.
Martinez has been working as a deputy probation officer for nine years and has a Bachelor's degree in administration of Justice from San Diego State University.
The next planning commission meeting will be held at City Council Chambers on Monday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m. |

This should be reworded as stating:
1. The role of the economic commission is to assist the council 'members' deep pockets' on future projects and developments; and
2. We have no clue what 'environmental impacts' means?

What's the correlation between a Probation Officer with a B.A. in Administration of Justice with a Economic/Environmental Planning Commission?
Nothing.
Louis Fuentes is looking as competent as Mario Conde. |
