Mr. Velez is an intelligent man that doesn't take a shit from developers who try to run city hall at their convinience. He doesn't take shit from council memebers either.
As oppose to Marlene Best, this guy will put anyone in their place and will change Calexico.
Ralph is the guy the Calexico has been waiting for. |

I think he is moving to Calexico. marlene was here but she lived in SD driving back and forth each day. That is not a good and didn't show his loyalty to Calexico.
Calexico was a place were Marlene could only get experience. She was so inexperience that they eat her alive.
Marlene make one personnel change when she was here.
Ralph is the man. |

| Hold on a minute people; please give references to how Mr. Velez is “the man” for Calexico. I mean, I have seen the minutes for the council meetings since he was inducted City Manager, and well there’s nothing new…. Please give us more info rather than just simple analogies of the guy. |

So now he's NOT splitting. City council seems to have "convinced" him to stay. Now as for how long, who freakin' knows...
What have been his accomplishments while in Calexico? He was quoted in the paper that he thinks his "experience and expertise" will be beneficial to "some issues that need addressing." |
