This Friday, August 4, El Jardin Del Silencio's 15th Anniversary Presents: Brujeria (featuring members from ex-bands sucha as Malevolent Creation, Nile, Angelcorpse, Napalm Death, Carcass, and more) will be playing at El Sapo Cancionero (formerly the Forum) at Reforma & Justo Sierra along with Dreams of Damnation (Thrash Metal from L.A. featuring ex-Dark Angel guitarist Jim Durkin), and Mexicali's own Underprozac (Death Metal) (and perhaps one more local band) starting at 8:00 PM for $150 Pesos and all ages welcomed.
Please try your best to attend this show, seeing at to how El Jardin Del Silencio is trying to bring more bands to Mexicali...Thursday they brought a Black Metal band from Poland but I forgot to post it |

Does Brujeria's music sound the same with the new line-up (sans Dino Cazares)?
Also, are tickets the same price in advance and at the door? |

Hahaha...anyone can play Dino's riffs man and they've got their ex-bassist Hongo playing guitar now...as for the tickets, they always sell them at the door to avoid inicidents like in Tijuana where they sell them then the band cancels...
Here's a clip of Brujeria's new line up performing at the Vive Latino '06

I'm off to start listening to my Brujeria-only-fest |

I wasn't suggesting that Dino is anything special, it's just I had heard that the band wasn't the same anymore.
Actually, according to the Wikipedia entry for Brujeria, the article's author(s) claim that Asesino is the new Brujeria.
I'm not a big Brujeria fan myself and I've only heard a few songs, but I'll go to hear them sing about matando gueros, Pito Wilson and the devil. |

Well yeah, Brujeria is not the same anymore. They don't have the same drummer or guitarrist (Dino) and they've got a new bassist, so out of the "original" members, only 4 remain. Asesino is a separate band from Brujeria. They've got Tony Campos from Static X on Vocals/Bass, and el Sadistico on drums.. anyways I'm sure it will be a good show so expect some chingazos!!!!! |
