| I watched this film over the weekend. I knew that it was a film with Al Gore in it and had something to do with global warming. Even though most of its content is well known, I still found the film quite interesting and a bit alarming. And I'm not a big Al Gore guy myself, but at least I see a man who has a cause in which he believes in and fights for, and with good intentions, too. Recommended viewing for everyone. |

If mof was still an active member, she'd be hyping up Al Gore's work like snake oil salesman...
It's too bad this documentary/film didn't make it to the Imperial Valley. I'd have gone to watch it, but now I'll wait for the rental. By then, it may be too late for this planet. Although I can break the law and download it illegally.
I don't understand why someone like Al Gore wouldn't make this film available online for free or at a discounted rate in local movie theaters. The point is supposed to be to get the message out to as many people as possible, but with the way the economy is now (and with the crap being pumped out by Hollywood) we need to carefully pick and choose what we spend our hard earned money on.
A movie about the environment that could change the way we live or Snakes on a Plane?
The same deal with Michael Moore. I lost respect for him when he put F 9/11 on PPV for $3.99 when if he really wanted to oust GW Bush, he'd have had it for $.99 cents and on Election Eve 2004 he'd show it for free. The free part probably wouldn't be possible due to the greediness of the cable and satellite television companies, but the 99 cents was.
But then again, everyone is out to make some money and not really out to help out the people.
Al Gore's Current.tv seems pretty cool. |

| I didn’t know cable (or dish) companies discussed the cost of movie displays to the public. I remember hearing something in the news about Michael Moore’s attempt to put the movie on public television right before the elections. I can’t remember if he was successful or not, but it’s the thought that counts. As for the film, where is the closet city in which we can view it? San Diego? Yuma? |

That's messed up. We shouldn't have to go anywhere but the Valley to view a movie. Isn't that the reason we have a Calexico 10 and now and the Ultra Star Imperial Valley 14 at the mall? What's the world coming to? |
