I read a San Diego Union-Tribune article yesterday about how Tijuana is addressing their problem with potholes throughout their pockmarked streets using a New Zealand (go All Blacks!) pothole repairing machine dubbed the Jetpatcher.
Mexicali has purchased their own, but there was no mention of how their using it.
The Jetpatcher is able to repair over 200 potholes per day, making that over 50,000 potholes per year (based on 5-day work weeks). The Jetpatcher costs $242,000 USD ($2,634,124.83 MXN) and fixes all potholes except the largest ones like those caused by underground border tunnels.
This has got to be a huge relief for all Chicalis. I know, if it's put into use, I'll feel a lot safer driving around town knowing that the chances of my shot suspension breaking apart are lowered thanks to this.
Calexico should think about renting the Jetpatcher out from Mex. |
