if you love birria, the best birria place is in Baja in Mexicali. I don't remember the name of the place, but if anybody can give better directions, shine some light for the birria challenged so they can enjoy some good chow. From Calexico you go to cross the border through the port that takes you to the rio nuevo (the one on the right). Then, you get on the street that takes you to baja, and drive all the way till you can't drive no more, turn left, and keep driving, you'll eventually see it It'll be on your left.  |

| Yeah, the place in la Baja is the best. You can take a pot and they'll fill it, so that you can take it home. That place is so good, for years the birria would run out by like 10am. It's always packed and the service is pretty good. |

| En mi opinion, la mejor birria de mexicali esta en la colonia Bella Vista. Se llama "Amigos de Jalisco" y le parte en su madre a la birrieria de la Baja. La media te sale a 35 pesos, pero si llevas tu hoya, te la llenan por 70 pesos cuando les pides ke te den una orden entera. |

| I agree amigos de jaliscos is the best birria in mexicali there tortillas are pretty awesome as well. |

Directios for Amigos de Jalisco:
When you enter Mexicali drive straight down Blvd. Lopez Mateos, when you get to Plaza Cachanilla turn right on the stop light heading towards the old police station (which is calle sur). Go straight till you hit the first stop sign then turn left and go straight till you hit the first stop sign. There it is, right in front of you to your right side. |
