I passed by Bowker Rd. the other day and noticed a sign on the fence of a huge dirt lot with plenty of dirty vehicles that stated there was going to be a government auction on May 17, 2006.

There seems to be a wide selection of vehicles on the lot, some pretty nice, but I'm skeptical that they'll be offered up to the public. If they are, then they'll obviously go for high bids.

Does anyone know how these gov. car auctions work? Are they worth going to if you're not a used car dealer? Any tips or tricks for these types of events?

I could use a small pick-up truck for cheap.

I found the web site link for that auction which has a lot of information concerning the terms of sale.

There are a lot more cars on the lot than there are on this list.

Yeah, they're not exactly highway miles either. Those would be drug and human trafficking miles.

The site states it's just for bidding on vehicles for parts.

Maybe we should purchase a Calecia.com Van for those lovely field trips we so often take. If we're lucky, we'll end up with one that has tons of hidden spaces/compartments so we can stash our things away!
