Today I received an iTunes coupon that allows me to download one song from the Apple Music Store. It's valued at $0.99 with the majority of the songs costing that much.

At first I figured I'd just grab any song and that would be the end of it, but then I starting to think about it a bit too much. Now I'm trying to figure out which song is most worthy of being downloaded. I've found a few so far with a bit of searching. They're as follows:

NOFX - The Decline
I recently heard it after a very long time and it's pretty awesome, although it's priced at $1.49, but is around 18 minutes long and probably worth a whole dollar and 49 cents.

Ozma - Game Over
Weezer's little brother that was discovered on MP3.com years ago. Game Over was available online as an unmastered version or something, but is available now as a track on their last album as a band. Great song.

U.S.A. For Africa - We Are the World
How much bang for your buck can you get out of just one dollar? This classic from 1985 where the music industry's best talent united to sing a charity song for the hungry and needy in Africa. It just brings back tons of memories, especially of MJ being in his prime.

Any suggestions?

BTW, this iTunes crap is missing tons of bands and albums and none of it is on vinyl.

Ozma

Apparently Ozma is back together as of January 9, 2006. They'll be playing at SOMA (San Diego) on March 11th.

Have you ever heard of the Black Lips? They are a new band out of Atlanta, Georgia. I guess you can say they sound like early Rolling Stones being sodomized by a ferociously stoned GG Allin.

I got to see them when they came to SD at the Tower Bar. You'll probably like them, and if you can find any of their songs, then I suggest you download them. Oh, and they are playing at the Casbah with the Dirtbombs on the 25th, just in case you really like them.

One dude was telling me about The Black Lips one night, but I've only heard of them and haven't heard them.

I like The Dirtbombs as they're a fun band, even live, but I won't go see them alone unless The Black Lips are well worth seeing. Saw The Dirtbombs at The Troubadour a while back and the last time with The Detroit Cobras and Beehive and the Barracudas at The Casbah.

This is getting off-topic, but I haven't been to The Casbah in quite a while so I might end up going afterall. I see that Sia (song appeared in the finale of Six Feet Under) is sold out April 1st.

Sia - Breath Me
This song was perfect for the finale of Six Feet Under. Kinda saddening.

That's 4 words. All less than 6 letters.

Once again...if your feeble, simple, childish mind can't extract more than 5 words per post, don't post anything. I seriously lost count of how many discussions that could be doing pretty well you have killed for the same reason.

Anyway, if you get to it, download the Black Lips. Hell, here's their myspace profile, listen to some of their songs:
