Federated Department Stores which is Macy's parent company bought out the May Company which was Robinson's May Parent company last september. With this Federated decided to change most Robinsons May Stores to Macy's which includes the one at the IV Mall. The stores will finish their transformation by the end of August 2006 so get ready to see higher prices at that store and some pretty nasty competition with Dillards...

By the way IV Mall store got spared because there are some 15 stores in california that will close as part of the deal with the state.

Check this out for more info...

For one I am happy because Macy's is a great store, but at the same time Robinsons May used to have great deals... Guess all those people who cant afford it are going to have to go back to shop at jc penneys or mervins.

Times have changed. I still remember going to May Company before the Rob-May merger.

Lately, I've been a Macy's shopper since they had a better selection, but Rob-May had the better deals.

It should be interesting what transforms over this new corporate take-over...

The Robinson's May here has very shitty clothes for men, at least in my opinion. I've yet to find anything good to buy there.

Macy's is A LOT better, but too bad it won't become a Neimen Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue instead. I don't expect the Macy's here to be anything like the one at Fashion Valley Mall, but it should be a major upgrade regardless.

Stay off the Ben Sherman, bitches.

The Macy's outdoor signage is up at Robinson's May, but it's currently concealed by Robinson's-May banners.

Didn't go inside, so I don't know if there are indoor changes.

The sad part was I couldn't put 2 and 2 together. Hey it was freakin hot outside. I stared at the sign and I drew a blank. My bad.
