Let's face it: Calecia.com sucks. There's nothing good on here worth coming for and I'll be the first to admit it.
I wouldn't mind just shutting it down, but it's not really up to me to do it. So during a drunken stupor at a recent get together, I handed the reigns over to spic-ole to take control and resuscitate this beast, since he kept on complaining about nothing ever being done. Well now, apparently nothing's been done since and here we are, all of us, coming back every once in a while looking for something new and refreshing.
So we're looking to revamp Calecia.com. We're not just talking about a new look, but adding new "things" and "stuff" that will get everyone on here a little bit or a lot more involved. Not just a message board with the occassional cholo harrassing us, but something more self-rewarding.
We do have some ideas, but we're more interested in yours. What is it that you want on Calecia.com that will most likely make you become a bigger part of it? What do you feel it's lacking right now?
Somebody give us a hand here... |

I think that with all active members contributing, Calecia.com can get some cool events going on. If "Calexico in Calexico" was made possible by a few C.com members, then if we all pitch in we can get get other good acts or other cool events to come to the valley. |

I think that with all active members contributing, Calecia.com can get some cool events going on. If "Calexico in Calexico" was made possible by a few C.com members, then if we all pitch in we can get get other good acts or other cool events to come to the valley. |
Getting the good acts is not really the problem. In fact, you'd be surprised how easy it really is... once you've got the sponsors and the money. The real problem is getting the sponsors and the money. Of course we're not talking mainstream MTV acts here either.
Although we swore off putting together another show, I have been itching to do it again. So if others are interesting in helping out, then let's talk. Just to let you know though, come the day of the event, you really don't get to enjoy it much when you're part of the organization of it. It just gets too hectic. Now if you're making money off of the event, then it's no problem. |
