| I have seen a lot of shit that i didn't realize about calexico, thanks to Calecia.com i have become a more informed member of this community. But what can we do? I mean what would happen if a group of us went to one of the meeting they have and asked this shit to them, like why do we keep pay the hospital tax, and why is the PD so stupid. I wouldn't know where to start would any of you? |

The only way to do things is to go to the city council meetings everytime they have one and be a thorn in their asses. Everytime and "outsider" (a.k.a. citizen of Calexico but not one of the City Council Members) tries to suggest anything in a meeting they just get blown off in the rudest way.
These guys like the way they do things, by themselves. A bunch of local business owners who run for city council to help out their business even more (usually during their term, their business' prosper but the city continues going to shit.)
So if anyone is really interested in making a difference in this or any town, just find out when and where the city council meeting for your city are, get a bunch of friends together to go with you to every meeting, and be a thorn in their asses. |

No need to say you'll go to the next meeting, just show up. You can also add to the agenda, but it must be about a week in advance.
