Tired of your old DVD's that you never watch anymore? Regret buying Glitter because you swore it would be a collector's item someday? Don't you wish you could trade it in for something a little better?
Well apparently now you can, with this new service called Peerflix, you can trade your old dvds for new ones for a low transaction fee of 99 cents.
Sounds like a good idea. But I have enough problems as it is renting ruined DVD's from a video store, I don't know if I want to deal with DVD's that somebody doesn't want specifically for a reason. |

I signed up to Peerflix today because they are offering a free $4 Starbucks card with "no catch" sign-ups. No credit card required.

I got my free Starbucks $4 card within the week and it sure was nice getting free drinks. I showed up at the Frijole Bol with my iced green tea, which probably gave me an extra oomph in addition to my "A game." |

I added a couple of movies that I own and wasn't necessarily wanting to trade them up, but within about an hour there was already a request for trading with one of them.
I haven't read the help, so I still don't understand how it exactly works. There's "Peerbux" involved and each one is worth about $5, but then you have a credit (cash) balance as well.
I also don't get how the shipping costs are handled. I suppose I need to read into it a little more, but I don't really have a large collection of DVDs at home, so I can't picture myself using the service much.
What is cool about Peerflix is that you primarily (or should) add your DVDs by UPC Code, so you get to see exactly what is being offered by others. For example, if it's the Swingers standard issue DVD or the special erotic collector's edition and director's cut with all the extra footage of Mike and Trent making hot homosexual which verbal's been waiting to get his hands on all this time. |

I forgot to include the word "love" after the HH reference.
The majority of my movie collection is actually on film reel and not in tape or disc format. Film sounds and looks a lot better than discs... just like vinyl records sound better than CDs... |
