So I've heard from two different groups of people regarding a (new) bar in Mexicali called La Uni Irish Pub. It's supposed to be an Irish-type pub that sells Guinness (in a can) for approximately 8 bucks.
Outrageous!
But the atmosphere sounds pretty cool. It's a fresa, non-thug, vibe with 80s music playing on the speakers. That's about as much as I know about the place, but I do know people that go there and they vouch for the bar.
I might have to hit it up this weekend and NOT drink the Guinness. |

A Pub. In Mexicali. To serve the Irish population of the Mexicali region.
And they play 80's music.
I wont even mention the Genniss in a can thing.

Dude, 8 bucks (80 pesos) for a beer. Not even a bar in SD or LA will charge that much for one. |

| I used to frequent that place when it was "Aca'tras" nice place. But now the space is reduced and it doesn't have that Irish pub scent. I personally didn't like the new table arrangement and the reduced space since it opened so I don't go there. It's frequented by the local UABC students unlike others that have been invaded by IV residents. Overall it doesn't have different types of people so don't expect the greatest thing. |

I can get a Black & Tan in an upscale bar in SD for around $7 and that will cost you more than a Guinness straight.Plus, you're not a pub if you can't serve B&T, harps,and bass. |

PLEASE NO ONE FROM THE IMPERIAL VALLEY GO TO THE IRISH PUB !!!
You guy's already took over and fucked up M2, don't do the same to Irish Pub. Finally there's a place where us chicalones can feel at home and drink beer and listen to great music and not have to put up with the pocho next to us speaking in english and trying to act all nigga. |
