Water Sprinklers Unattended

I am the type of person that likes to conserve water, and I really dislike people that misuse this precious resource.

My neighbor (a single mother) leaves her sprinklers programmed to work THREE time every day for about FIVE minutes!! now you can imagine that her front lawn looks like a swamp, and also part of my lawn. I already told her to change the times on her sprinklers but I guess she just does not care.

Do you know if Calexico authorities would fine misuse of water? or someting like that?

Shut off her main water valve.

Or if you don't wanna be a prick, then call up the City of Calexico at 768-2110 and let them know about it. They may end up giving her a notice and if the problem persists then ultimately a fine. If they fine her, I'm sure it she'll make the adjustment.

Since the city charges a fixed fee for water and sewage, some folk tend to be a little more careless about water usage since you're already paying $66.84.

I say if it's affecting your lawn, then be a prick or build one of those concrete yard dividers to completely block her off.

This kind of reminds me of those ridiculous people who build dams on the gutters because their front street area gets a pool of water. I've seen everything from dirt dams to beaver dams to concrete dams, which the latter definitely has to be illegal.
