Stores such as Linen's and Things, Dillards and restraunts like Olive Garden and In and Out Burger.

It's always a sad day when the Imperial Valley must play catch up with Yuma.

Crying or Very sad

The Imperial Valley will never be able to bring in major companies without taxpayer money. Crying or Very sad

I'm sure you're all aware, but the opening of Target has been delayed from October 8th to possibly March 2004. The shopping mall has been delayed from who knows when to who knows when in 2005.

Unbelievable.

I know a lot of people that were hired on at Target...I guess they'll remain unemployed for a few more months.

the city claims it's because of the safety issues that come from the intersection, or lack there of. and the target people say they just happened to get stuck in the cross-fire of the two lawsuits that are facing el centro.

I heard that the Valley Plaza might be making a come back. I heard that Westfield was looking into buying it. Which sound cool. Westfield own the Horton Plaa, Parway, and all those cool mall in S.D.

The plaza was purchased by CT Realty of Newport Beach for $9 million. Officials with CT Realty and its property management company, Essex Realty of San Diego, have said their goal is to rebuild the center and turn it into a facility where families can go and shop and spend a day.

Businesses will be moving in during October. The most notable will be Big Lots, which will start bringing in merchandise for its store in mid-October and will open in November, in time for the holiday season, Duggins said. Big Lots will be just west of JCPenney.

Little Caesars, a pizza restaurant, will be opening to the far east of the plaza along Imperial Avenue likely before the year's end. Negotiations are moving forward with Starbucks to open a 1,500 square-foot coffeehouse along Imperial Avenue in front of JCPenney.

They are building somthing across the parking lot from Target. It looks like a fast food joint of some sort, but I hope that it isn't we need a better sit down place.
