Didn't someone suggest an outlet center?
Well, a mall with some expensive stores might not be a bad idea. It would definitely make people in the valley realise that $30 isn't expensive for a pair of pants. It might be good for the local economy too. Kind of like when people from San Diego might go to St Tomas or Las Palmas and go "Oh my god! This is so cheap! Let's buy 50 of them!" This way when people go to St Tomas or Las Palmas, they won't try to barter the poor salespeople that are barely making enough to pay the rent and feed their families from $1.50 to $1. Because we all know those 50 cents will make all the difference in our lives. |

I've recently heard a little more buzz about this mall. Unfortunately it's not a lot of helpful information for us, but word is there will be approximately 90 shops.
Robinsons/May seems to still be the major store, which kinda sucks, and I heard Dillard's was another one. Most likely Sears will be moving in and I can bet that Miller's Outpost (AKA Anchor Blue) will follow suit.
I know this is pretty much the same information that was given out months ago, but hopefully it will stir up some new discussions on the development and planning of the new mall. |

Apparently, they're trying hard to push this through. The contractor claims that he already has contracts with the major stores and that any delay could hurt the project. Calexico is asked the Board of Supervisors to delay the permits so that Calexico can make a study into the economic and traffic impacts. I hope that this doesn't kill the project. Remember that a few years back they were planning to build a mall near Heber, but never did because El Centro and Brawley delayed it by arguing that the mall needed to benefit all the Valley cities, and El Centro arguing for an El Centro location.

What the fuck is El Centro's problem. I think the current location is perfect it's a nutral spot.
I hears that sear or maybe it was mervyns that was goin to move to the Target shopping center. Which sucks becaseu they both move. The El Centro Center is going to become a ghost town which the old Builder Emporiem alread looks bad enough. |

I heard that the Valley Plaza might be making a come back. I heard that Westfield was looking into buying it. Which sound cool. Westfield own the Horton Plaa, Parway, and all those cool mall in S.D.
I also heard that theymight be building a 24hr Fitness there as well. I hope that's true because I hate jaques and Jills.
If you haven't seen it lately it is getting reconstructed, for what I have not idea. |

Where'd you hear this? This sounds outrageously insane.

This is good and bad. As soon as 24 Hour Fitness comes in, everyone at Jacque's and Jill's will perform exodus, but it will also neutralize the gym membership pricing. |

| My friends dad works for the city council so I hear all the news before it hits public. He said that Westfield called the city about it and wanted to come down and look at it. I'm not sure what happened. |
