So, what's going on with this new shopping mall we keep hearing about? When is it done and what stores are gonna be a part of it?
Also, is it gonna just be a factory outlet or WTF? |

From the latest LAFCO project report (it's public information):
"EC 1-02 (Imperial Valley Mall):
This proposed annexation is 150 +/- acres located south of Interstate 8, east of Dogwood Road. This annexation would allow for a Regional Shopping Center. This project is with the City's and no DEIR has been sent out yet. LAFCO is in the process of selecting a Fiscal Consultant." |

| I've heard that there will be a Dillard's and a Target, and that Sears and JC Penney's will move there. It doesn't sound like that great of a mall to me. I'm only hoping that they'll have some decent new restaurants and variety in the food court; Like Gyros or Tai. Something different would be nice. |

so is there any news as to what kind of mall they're trying to build?
is it gonna be indoor/outdoor, one story/two story.
Well, whatever it is, let's just hope it doesn't end up being taken over by the corporate masterminds at wal-mart or vaca-mart. |

| Maybe it'll have an After Thoughts, a GNC, a Zales, and a cutlery store, just like every other crappy mall in the country. |

Just as long as we have a Gucci store, all my dreams will come true. |

| Do you guys think a mall would actually have any kind of success in the valley. Seriously people in the valley like to buy cheap, and you can't get cheaper then ST. tomas and Palmas or the shops down town |
