I hear Top Dawg Gym is $33 a month, while Calexico Fitness (and their new logo) is still $40 a month.
Anyone here a member of Top Dawg? |

I still go to Calexico Fitness. It's the only one I've ever gone too, so I can't really compare it to the others.
CF has of late been improving their biz by laying out laminate (hardwood-like) flooring in the spinning/aerobics room, new flooring in the gym equipment room and lately some new machine additions.
Haven't checked out Top Dawg, but passed by once and it looked smaller. Although I heard they were going to add a sauna to TD. |

| Calexico Fitness opened up a gym in MExicali (in back of the Carls Jr on Justo Sierra and Calz. Aviacion). You get access to both Gym's with your paid membership, that's pretty cool. |

Top Dawgs had a slow start, wasn't as sophisticated as fitness, but i've gone to both and now that top dawgs is completely up and running, i prefer it over fitness, Fitness is too crowded, and lot's of cremitas.....no offense to anyone who might go there" ....top dawgs is more like home....you feel comfortable, and is only packed once in a while...
the hell with "calexico weakness" |

Yeah, they did raise their prices, but I think it's much more than that. You might be talking about couples pricing.
I haven't been to Top Dawgs, as Calexico Fitness suits me well for now, but CF has been adding lots of new equipment. The most recent was the "circuit training" gear. Was the sauna ever put in at TD?
But CF does need a much bigger facility, no doubt. I'm sure Raymundo and gang have realized this and it shouldn't be long before they're forced to make the place bigger or move.
And the cremitas reference... that just hurts, man. |
