I guess if you dont believe in God then there are aliens in other planets all due to evolution. If you do believe in God and believe that he created everything in this universe then there is no such thing as aliens. It all depends on wether you believe in evolution or creation. |

As much as "I want to believe," I think this universe is unfortunately only populated by us simpletons who continue to make up myths such as aliens, bigfoots, sea serpents, chupacabras, etc. in order to give us something to live for.
There's got to be "something out there," but I'm not believing a thing until I see it. And I've seen it, but I still don't believe it (if that makes any sense). |

I remember being abducted by some aliens. They took me away in their space ship to a distant planet. I think I saw Uranus up close! |

I believe we're getting prety close at finding out if ther are more life forms out there. If they exist, pretty soon we will be able to find evidence, not just of sightings and shit like that, but stuff like actual fossilized bacteria found in Martian rocks that some scientists now believe might be a possibility:
http://archives.cnn.com/2001/TECH/space/07/02/mars.rocks/
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/01/040101091149.htm
And by soon I mean perhaps in the next couple hundred years, which is pretty quick in galactic time-terms or whatever. This would mean that we will most probably not see any of this, but our smarter, more evolved offspring will develop technology that will allow more efficient space travel.
Also related to that tought. There are theories of humans' next evolution and that there seems to be evidence of the "next human" developing already. One sign of this, and I appologize I didn't have the time to find the reference again, is that there have been more reported cases of couples not being able to have children; but which are not related to biological infertility or impotence. This situation is being linked to the concept of hybrids not being able to procreate, just like mules (horse + donkey) and ligers (lion + tigers), or the offspring of two diferent species, will turn out sterile. This fuels the argument of some scientists or evolutionary theorists that Humans are evolving into a new species; i.e. that Homo Sapiens is already interacting with the "Next Human" and that when they mate they are not able to procreate.
You know grandparents always say that babies are really smart today?
If this is true, what will the new species be called?
Are you Old Sapiens or New Sapiens?
