Can I get an Amen! He should have used those God gave him his eyes&brains and read the warning about water and a live wire. It reminds me of an old Hank Williams Sr. song I SAW THE LIGHT

Texas pastor electrocuted during baptism
Accident occurred when 33-year-old reached for a microphone
The Associated Press
Updated: 2:20 p.m. ET Oct. 31, 2005
WACO, Texas - A pastor performing a baptism was electrocuted inside his church Sunday morning after adjusting a nearby microphone while standing in water, a church employee said.
The Rev. Kyle Lake, 33, was stepping into the baptistery as he reached out for the microphone, which produced an electric shock, said University Baptist Church community pastor Ben Dudley.
Water in a baptistery usually reaches above the waist, said Byron Weathersbee, interim university chaplain at Baylor University.
Lake was pronounced dead at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, nursing supervisor Pat Mahl said. The woman being baptized apparently had not stepped into the water and was not seriously injured... |

What the police will find is that the right Rev. was missing common sense . As for me I'm glad I was given that sacrament as an infant.

Police investigating pastor's death as church mourns
KCEN-TV
October 31, 2005 An investigation is underway into the bizarre death of a Waco pastor. Reverend Kyle Lake was electrocuted during a baptism at University Baptist Church Sunday.
Hundreds lined up at Wilkerson-Hatch Bailey funeral home to pay their last respects. As the community mourns, Waco Police are now investigating the pastor's death and trying to figure out what went wrong.
Within hours of the electrocution death of Pastor Lake, Waco Police officers were on the scene Monday. Crime scene investigators took pictures and talked with church members inside University Baptist Church in Waco.
Investigators say even though the electrocution appears to have been accidental, they're still looking at it as a questionable death... |
