Did grampa have a reason to have a restless spirit?

Another friend, who lived on Euclid by the railroad tracks in El Centro, we think lived in a haunted house. It was an old house they moved into. Lights turned off and on, cupboards opened, and his dog went crazy barking at a shadowy corner of the backyard next to a window. That's why his friends never went to visit him at home. Of course this could all be that it was an old house.
Then again his baby sister always said she saw stuff, but that "they didn't hurt you." And his older brother once felt something jump on him and hold on for a few seconds when he was getting ready for work at 4:00 am, it was heavy and he felt like something like faint breathing next to his ear.
