What "level" of vegetarian/vegan food are you looking for?

Answer the vegans question. What is there to eat for one like him here in the Imperial and Mexicali valleys? |

In the Valley, nothing that I know of except for cheese sandwiches and Boca Burgers from Denny's.
In Mexicali there actually have been quite a few places that have opened up recently and closed almost as recently. I'm pretty sure there are a couple left, but I don't know which ones.
The last true vegetarian place I'd been to was a place by the Gigante in Mexicali. It was ok, but stuff you could easily make at home. Pasta with tomato sauce and ground up gardenburger patties, etc.
For the most part, the best any vegetarian will do in the Valley, or in Mexicali are places that serve stuff with no meat in or on it. |

A fruit stand in Santo Tomas also sells some pretty tasty fruit salads on the NE end during the weekends for $3. |
