What's the word on Quiznos opening up next to the new ice cream place Banana Split?
I hear it's going to take around a couple more months for it to open due to the City of Calexico red tape. |

In Calexico, red tape is more like black tape... you never get the "ok" for anything...

So on the "City of Calexico" website, it states that a new Wendy’s will be built in Calexico. Question is "where?" Does anyone know???
Also what is the deal with that strip mall sign that is set up on that empty lot on the other side of the street from the Sun Community Bank? Does any one know anything about that? |

Quiznos is now open.
The employees seem to be learning the ropes, but I hope they get up to speed quick. The bread from my sub was kinda bland, but it was most likely traces of novocaine from the dentist. |

That's what I'm wondering too. They have a steel-framed structure up, but I don't think it looks anything like the plaza/strip-mall that was illustrated in the sign that was up long ago.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's another gas station... |
