Is the new Washington Mutual bank next to Wal-Mart going to completely replace the WaMu in downtown Calexico?
The WaMu downtown is/was always used by many as THE ATM to use right before heading down to Mex. |

That would be a dumb move... I think that the reason why the new washington mutual in EC replaced the old one, was because there isnt any foot traffic in downtown EC.
If they do replace it then I think WAMU would just put a couple of atm machines in downtown near the border, that would also be great...
but if they just do a straight replacement, then we would know that WAMU does not listen to its employees... |

The new office building next to Home Town Buffet is almost done.
I noticed that Alex Perrone is leasing out office space and a Sprint store is opening up. I'm not sure if it's another Sprint (NEXTEL) store or if Aadvanced Wireless behind Rally's is moving in.
BTW, Are cell phone businesses that lucrative? With so many around, do consumers actually buy plans and phones on a daily basis or is it all profit from residuals/referrals? |

There actually building something accross the street, everyone knows that more appartments are headed for the lot next to circle k... |

Hey wherent the apartments supposed to be on other side of meadows dr.(not to be confused with meadows rd) Is apartments really being built next to circle k... or is that sign about the strip mall is what is being built there?
I also heard a rumor about another Sol Market being build somewhere in that area?? how true is that??? |

| Loco, Nothing is being built across from the K its the dirt they are removing from the streets they are carving out north of those new homes. That land is zoned for commercial development, but who knows when? I also have unconfirmed reports that Mervyns is coming to Calexico at the Food4Less shopping center. Did someone mention that IHOP is coming to Calexico? Where and When? You have apartments being built in the 1000 BLK of Meadow Drive, and coming soon at Clinton and Cole. |
