The 3 lanes into Mexico doesn't make sense if they are expanding the 10 lanes into USA to 16.
Bottleneck.

Are you talking about the Towncenter area on Cole just east of the railroad tracks?
I can't see what land would be used south of the W. |

I'm not really sure at this point, but I believe it might be another industrial park. |

Here’s the deal with the whole border bulding smackdown! (Heard it from a source @ DHS)
First plan is to build a new port @ the old truck crossing area (over by twin city) both northbound and south bound. The north bound traffic will have to go through that new river blvd(sorry don’t know the name of it) to get back to Calecia… and use Cesar Chavez blvd to go into Mex…
Once that area is finished and ready for all the traffic, DHS is going to demolish (the demolition thing was a little vague so I don’t know if it is totally accurate) the current port and build a new state of the art facility which will then lower border crossing times… The new port will end up having 16 lanes.
There is also that crazy idea of making that other new port @ silicon border (mt. signal), so at the end we might end up with 4 ports…
The whole thing behind this is because DHS wants to create southbound ports where they will check you (and your car) before you go into Mexico… Don't know how they are going to build all these ports since they cant even fully staff their current ports...
Yeah, yeah I know, I know… we're all being watched… blah blah blah… |

That place is such blight to the community that someone desperately needs to move into it! |

Damn it. It's gonna get tougher to smuggle Americans into Mexico... |

What's going on with the shopping center next to Circle K on Cole?
There's like 3 shops open: restaurant, movie rental and pet grooming. A party supply store seems to be ready to go, but it's not open yet. Is that hair salon even open? What happened to the sports bar?
It looks to me like some of the tenants pulled out. |
