FIFA 06 Soccer is coming out on October 6, 2005 and it looks even better than 2005. The commercials are awesome and even more surprising is the cover art of the game box.

It features three players:

Ronaldinho (w/ a Barcelona jersey)
Freddy Adu (w/ a DC United jersey)
Omar Bravo (w/ a Mexico National jersey sporting #10)

I was quite surprised to see a Mexican player on the cover of this very popular soccer game. I really shouldn't be, since Mexico is well deserving of the attention, but Omar Bravo?

Is he the best player to put on the cover for the game to represent Mexico?

I would have thought that Rafa Marquez, C. Blanco, Oswaldo, Borgetti or another more high profile player would be on it.

Bravo is good, but I'm not too sure about him being the one to rep. El Tri in the Americas.

What do you think?

Borgetti holds Mexico's most goals title in the national team.

Blanco does not have a good mug shot, so he is definitely out of the picture.

I'm not much of a video game guy, but if they ever make a video game with Maradona, Pele, Cruyff, Beckenbauer etc., I might give it a shot.

I'm definitely shocked that they put 2 concacaf players on the cover, but I'm guessing that the USA is where this game is sold the most, and probably Mexicans living in the USA are the one's who buy it, therefore it makes sense.

Yeah, Omar Bravo should definitely not be on the cover, he's not even on the damn national team anymore. Rafa Marquez should of been on there, or if you wanna go by recent popularity, I would even have Kikin Fonseca there.

Why you put Maradona's name before Pele?

Maybe Rafa wasn't included because he's also on FC Barcelona. Borgetti should have been on the cover wearing a Malverde pendant.
