Sounds as if the City Council runs the School District. Adminstrators giving themselves a raise while the while the actual teachers get screwed...The teachers themselves are the ones dealing with the children.

Let's be fair to the teachers.

Are the teachers still whining?

Have the students tip their teachers after class. A penny for shitty service and a shiny nickel for those who perform.

Negotiators for both sides agreed to a tentative deal Thursday that would give all Calexico School District employees a 3 percent retroactive bonus for each of the 2004-05 and 2005-06 school years and a 10 percent salary raise for the 2006-07 school year, which would take affect in August.

Happy now?

Those retro checks can sure buy a lot of cheese for all that whine.

Speaking of which, isn't it time for teachers to be asking for a raise? They've been pretty quiet.
