| why don't they do the celebrations in Crummet Park anymore? i've personally never liked the event at Rockwood park, and much prefer the one in crummet park. |

I like the Mexican Independence Day celebration at the Rockwood Plaza area.
The atmosphere is a lot better, IMO, with the people swarming the streets. All presentations and performances are done in front of the Mexican consulate and it just feels right.
Even better would be right on the border, but I'm sure the BPs would have a problem with that.
I think it's a good idea to scatter out the events at various venues, so they all feel different. If they're all held at Crummet Park, then it will continue to feel as if everyone is caged in like a bunch of animals.
Don't get me wrong though, some of the people in Calexico should be caged in like a bunch of animals. |
