Elijah Wood is done with the cute Frodo act in Lord of the Rings and is now starring in a new film by Lexi Alexander titled Green Street Hooligans in a story about an expelled Harvard student who goes to England to visit his married sister. On arrival, he starts hanging out with his brother-in-law who introduces him into the fascinating world of hooliganism, which ends up teaching him more about life than his Ivy League school every could.
Green Street Hooligans premieres this Friday in the United States at selected theaters, the closest being in Los Angeles. On September 16th, GSH will begin showing at San Diego's AMC Mission Valley 20.
Check out the GSH trailer and the first 8 minutes of the film at:

| Are these soccer hooligans we're talking about? If it is then it seem's like a movie i'd be interested in going to watch. There's gonna be quite a few soccer films coming out this season. The Maradona life story is coming out soon, so is Pele's autobiographical film, then Real Madrid made a movie also, Mexican actor Kuno Becker is gonna come out in a film called Gol, which is a three part film in which in each film he plays for a different team The first film he'll be playing for Real Madrid, and Beckham, Raul, Zidane, etc.. will be in it. Really doubt it any of these films will be shown here in the Valley, they'll probably come to Mex though. |

| I watched this last night. It's a very good film. I was aware of the West Ham United-Millwall rivalry by reading a piece on it and I'm sure that this goes on in all clubs of England, Europe and South America, especially since all of the "major" hooligans are recognized by law enforcement authorities, so they know who they're looking for. Recommended viewing if you're a football/soccer fan. |
