Speaking of puro chisme. You blame Alex Perrone for the delay of Starbucks and because he offers wireless internet. So if Alex Perrone had a bookstore would that mean that he is doing his influece to keep Barnes & Nobles out of Calexico?

You guys talk, talk, and talk without showing facts or evidence that supports that Alex Perrone doesn't want Wi-Fi in Calexico. Or is it that you guys are making this up?

C'mon guys, I want evidence.

The evidence is that El Centro already has three Starbucks and Calexico has bearly built one.

I think anyone can agree that there arent any actual documents explaining that Mr. Perrone was trying block starbucks from setting up. My whole issue with Mr. Perrone and the rest of the council is the lack of expansion Calexico has over El Centro. Think about it...

There are about 1k to 2k house being built in Calexico that market at about 400k and up. Therefore why is it that calexico's expansion, commerical wise is lagging far behind from El Centro's Expansion. Some one please explain that...

Oh, crap. She was referring to you. I guess I'm so used to being blamed for everything around here.

Because the majority of Calexico residents probably want the City of Calexico to remain a small town without the big commercialism, yet the majority of Calexico residents probably want the City of Calexico to have more and more bigger and better houses so they can upgrade.

It's the American Dream everyone keeps talking about on here.

Yuma is making their city WiFi-enabled all throughout.

The service will allow any citizen and/or visitor to connect onto the Internet at a nominal fee, but will always provide free access to the City of Yuma's Web site.

Yuma Mayor Larry Nelson said, “This venture brings a new cost-effective, high-tech, wireless broadband service to our citizens and businesses, enabling us to break the wires and access information across the city without being tied to a desk. This capability will enable Yuma city employees to more effectively provide services without cost to the taxpayer, and provide mobile Internet access for anyone in Yuma at minimal cost.”

What I have heard is that it is up and running, not city wide yet but it has potential. I don't believe it is going to be open to the public? not sure.

City Hall is wi-fi enabled, although the signal strength was low.

To allow city employees, like those who trim palm trees, to update their Web-based work order system records.
