I'm gonna back Mr. Gryphon1.
Cops do a job that nobody else wants to do. Yes, people bitch about a police force all the time. They are never happy. Alot of city cops have department issued cell phones and have to use them while on duty. Do you know who they are talking to? What they are talking about? What about all of the dumbass drivers that are on the road using their cell phones? I would bet that most of us on this board have used a cell phone at least once while driving. If cops in the Valley didn't know Spanish, how would they be able to communicate with the people here in the Valley the don't know English? I know. Maybe they should give out tickets for not being able to speak English.! You gotta respect the migrant field worker and law enforcement. They do a job that nobody else would do. This board is typical Calexico. Full of it's self. |

What? Drive around in an air-conditioned car all day while talking on their cell phones? Or pulling over a 70 year old woman with 3 cop cars?
This isn't L.A. It's Calexico.
Look, cops do a hard job, it's true, but nobody forces them to become cops, if they don't like it, they can find something else to do. I have some cop friends, I respect them for how they do their job, not because of their job, so don't expect me to high-five a cop when I just saw him peel out of a parking lot to impress his other cop friends after they just took a two hour lunch break at Burgers & Beer.
Full of ourselves, I think you need to get a clue. |

Have you ever gone into a restaurant and seen cops doing paper work?
Probably not, but I have. Maybe when the cop left the parking lot he was responding to a call? Or maybe not. Have you ever spun the tires on your vehicle? I have, in fact I think we all have. What's the big deal? Let me see. It's just about as hot as hell out side and your work requires you to be in a vehicle in the sun day or night? I sure as hell hope they are using the A/C. Only a dumbass or a crazy person wouldn't use the A/C if it worked and the vehicle had one. I don't think I have ever heard a cop say that they were forced to become a cop?! I don't think most cops want anybody to go around giving them "high-fives". How do you know it was a 2 hour lunch? Did you time them?
I agree with you. Respect them for how they do their job, not because of their job! I have known some pain in the ass cops, but, I know more cops that would and will go way out of their way to do the very best that they can do. There are good cops and there are bad cops, just like there are good people and there are bad people. Cops are people to ya know. |

Actually, no I have never "spun the tires" on my vehicle. I stopped acting like a 15 year old when I was 15, and didn't get a permit till I was 16, so I guess I missed my chance. And I would definitely not do it in a government car. Unless cops always cheer themselves off, laughing, when responding to a call, I don't think that's what he was doing.
Oh, and how do I know it was over a 2 hour lunch? Yeah I timed them. I do things like that, and I complain as frequently as I can about these things, but just like Gryphon1 mentioned, nothing ever gets done about these idiots.*
*That last part was mine |

This sounds familiar. I think I heard Jack Nicholson say this in A FEW GOOD MEN... |

Don't know how many people will find this useful, but the cops are patroling the streets this morning.
I mean they are generating revenue for the lovely city of Calexico, so if you need to use your arm to signal then do so. |

..I don't like it anymore than you do, thats the way he wants, thats the way he gets and thats what we had here today,...a failure to communicate. (sounds like he got a ticket)
Hey, I am back on patrol and caught a rollin' stolen(Grand theft auto) early friday morning off of a traffic infraction, the PERP is a long time crook from CAX , luckily the apartment complex the VICTIM lived in had video rolling as this guy was already in custody when other burglary victims called the cops, the video showed him breaking into 3 other cars. He's done. One more off our fair city streets. Now lets make sure Oteros Office does something. |
