About two years ago I had my car broken into and I had the whole thing on video, the video showed how the guy walked out of his house and walked to my car and broke into it and walked out with about $1000 worth of CD's. The cop who came to my house said that they couldn't tell if it was who I thought it was, even though the video showed him coming out of his house. What I think happened was that the lazy ass didn't want to do paper work or follow up, besides it was during the summer and all they want to do is cruse around Calexico inside their airconditioned cars.

In San Luis AZ, I got a speeding ticket for going approx. 20 mph in a 15 school zone area. The cop had no radar and there were like four other cars going approx. the same speed as myself. I will be fighting this one.

I wish I had seen this post earlier,....oh well, for the next reader who comes here, I read alot of truth in the last 4 pages, and alot of BS.

It takes aminimal of 960 hours or something ungodly like that now to become a "basic" trained cop in California, with new laws being placed in every day it is tough to stay on top of all the legislative bs that comes out. Worse than all of that is when you have a weak suck District attorney who will plead down everything to avoid going to trial.

For the most part you do have some young, dumb, full of *&^ officers at CAX PD. But, they are asked to perform duties and do things that I wish to god I never had thrust upon me. If I had a nice 9 to 5 office job and weekends and holidays off with my family friends it would be nice. That doesn't happen as a cop. And every traffic stop no matter who innocent or stupid looking to those who are not trained to do them is a potential life or death incident. In my only 6 years with the beautiful CPD, I have been involved in a 2 drive by shootings, with one death, 3 traffic accidents involving deaths (try to write an investigative traffic death report as a moron security guard) multiple chases, numerous drunken brawls, two times I should have shot and killed suspects -(one with a knife, the other with a brick) and didn't. one went to jail, and the other was killed in a gang shooting 2 months later.

The admin, and city council are screwing up the PD, they like that there is a split with in the union as it takes away the focus of their screw ups. The Officers haven't had a raise in 3 years, by the way as I am on the bargaining comittee. Imagine how everybody else get bilingual pay, 5%, and yet , not in Calexico where it is really required to do your job. How about our retirement? everyone else 3 @ 50. Not us 2@50.

The ak 47 pointing is the tip of the iceberg, WE paid for the ar 15 rifles to protect YOU nas US against the Drug trade orginizations running rampant theough Calexico.

But according to PErrone, there are NO drug tunnels in Calexico
There are NO gangs in Calexico
and there are NO shootings.

Perrone has NO clue of what is going on in the City. Its whatever the Chief tells him.

This is interesting. Other cops get 5% for bilingual pay, but not Calecia cops? Is that correct?

So do the cops speak spanish or what do they do? I've heard cops speak Spanish myself but I just thought that was through courtesy.

Didn't know you could make some $ out of it. Who gets this 5% in the Valley?

If you have read any of my other post concerning the PD you can see that I am highly critical of certain issues, and will praise others when it is warranted. If you work where your job is to protect the rights of others, yet your rights are violated, wouldn't you do something about it? Or do you work?

You bitch and moan about the police, yet I won't see you tonight at 2 a.m. checking burglar alarms, stopping drunk drivers, arresting hypes with sores all over there bodies,arresting drunken wife beaters, or catching thieves. It happens everysingle day in Calexico

So unless your willing to climb out of your bed, take the training, face the risk, and patrol the city, I would rather you just said "Thank you" and be on your way. Either way, it doesn't really make a difference to me whether you like cops or not. I didn't take this up to be popular.

And every other department our size or bigger in the valley has bilingual pay, CHP, Sheriff, Brawley, El Centro, Hell, Eureka gets bilingual pay:shock:

That is true, my job is to serve the public, regardless of how well informed they are or are not. Now, I don't go down to the docks, and tell you how to blow sailors do I? No, So you surely have no clue about what my job entails. So don't think you of all people can tell me how to do it.

Again, I'll treat you like you treat me, thats the reflection pool theory, but it seems like all I"m delaing with here is a muddy pool of stagnant water.

I think you had a real bad experience with a cop somewhere and it has scarred you somehow. I would say sorry, but then again, some bring it upon themselves.
