No shots were fired.

Pussies! |
Yeah, how do you lose a car chase?
Fall back it ain't worth it, they have Ak's. What the fuck. |
Yeah, you'd think that the fact that these suspects had an AK would've been more reason for the cops to stop them. |
my boss is former lapd, when he heard about the cop backing down, he said the cop did a disservice to not only the uniform, but to the people. the moment the guy pointed the ak-47 at the cops, they had every right to shoot at the suspect. pointing a weapon at a police officer is "intent to kill" regardless if the gun is shot or not. the officer has every right to defend himself and the community by making sure the suspect does not point another weapon at anyone again. the fucker should have been shot at. |

I completely agree with your boss. |

Come on, you can't blame these guys for pulling back. It's not like they're real cops or anything. They're just glorified security guards.
The sad thing would have been if El Centro cops would have gotten them. |

Are these criminals still on the run?
Did they not get the vehicle description and/or plate numbers and call in the CHP or dispatched the CLX Chopper? What about the national guard or even Homeland Security? These could've been terrorists.

According to the July 29, 2003 edition of the Imperial Valley Press, El Centro PD arrested the owner of the car the next day, for suspicion of falsely reporting that her vehicle was stolen.
I haven't heard of anyone else being arrested in connection with the chase. |

Out of embarrasment and hopes that this scandal will just go away, I'm sure the Calexico PD didn't press any charges. |

On January 21st of 2004 at approximately 6:00 p.m., I witnessed Calexico Police car #535 run a red light as it turned left onto highway 98 from Kloke. Oncoming traffic had to come to a quick stop as they allowed the police car to pass. The police car had no sirens on and did not run the next red light located on Highway 98 and Eady. So it is safe to assume he was not responding to a call.
Just another example of Calexico Police Department officers thinking the law doesn't apply to them while wearing their badge. |

I'm sure he had a reason. Maybe there was poor teenage girl home alone. Did you stop to think about that? |

| I happen to work for the city of Calexico, and now that you mention all these bad experiences with cops, let me tell you, those fuckers get a 10% raise every year. Not only that, every year, chances are the employee of the year will be somenoe from the PD. Ask any city employee that you may know if they deserve it. |

On 11-1-04, 5:00 pm, heading eastbound on 98, I saw a patrol car and the cop was using his cell phone.
503, 583, damn it I can't remember the number. Next time I'll be writing these numbers down.
These cops should be reprimanded for using cell phones while on so called duty. |
