The lovable Jason Lee is back, but this time on NBC with his new television show called My Name Is Earl. The show is about "a ne'er do well wins $100,000 in the lottery and decides to right all the wrongs from his past with his newfound realization."

Sounds like a very interest plot, at least to me, and I'm going to definitely check it out. Here's the official NBC description of the show:

"Karma is a boomerang and it's about to hit Earl in the back of the head. A likeable low-rent crook, Earl has an epiphany after winning a small fortune in the lottery and hearing words of wisdom from none other than Carson Daly. Determined to turn his good luck into a life-changing event, he sets out to right all his past wrongs. This comedy, like Earl himself, has a voice and style all its own."

My Name Is Earl premieres September 20th and comes out on NBC on Tuesdays at 6PM Pacific (9/8c).

Any Jason Lee fans out there?

I saw an episode last night and it was pretty funny.

The episode cameo'd John Favreau (of Swingers fame) as an asshole boss. Earl kept trying to find out how such a prick of a man could be so successful in life and kept telling himself that karma would eventually catch up to him.

Apparently My Name Is Earl was nominated for 5 Emmy Awards.

I also caught an episode of The Office afterwards and I must say this show is "Overrated."

I started watching the reruns of this show on TBS and it's alright. It has some funny moments, but it's a bit too unfinished. It needed some big time Hollywood oomph or at least throw in some Jay or Randal here and there.

I'm guessing this show wasn't picked up for a second season.
