Anyone been to this new family restaurant, Dudley's, in El Centro?
First of all, the name is totally ridiculous.
Second of all, when I first walked in it seemed like we were in a gay bar. It's dark inside and the only visibility is created by colorful neon lights. There's bar tables in the center, which coincidently were occupied by (gay looking) old men who appeared to be enjoying themselves.
Lastly, the food ain't that great.
It also appears like this may be the new El Centro PD hangout, so don't get drunk 'cause you'll either get arrested or molested in the men's restroom. |

I got a meatball sub and it sucked ass. The only people there were a family attending a pinata and a group of dissapointed COs that were bummed by the lack of chicks to hit on. Stay away from this flashy over-priced craphole. |

Isn't it a chain of restaurants?

How do you know what a gay bar looks like from the inside?
The Brass Rail maybe?

What do you expect? The guy from Perronne's owns it?

Yeah. The Dudley's in El Centro is the first one outside the Pacific Northwest.

CO's and Cops are the bomb.

I went for lunch to Dudley's again the other day and I order the same thing as last time. A children's cheeseburger with fries and a soda. The total came out to $3.53, which I thought was a pretty damn good deal.
It's just a basic hamburger with cheese, although not as small as you'd think for being a child's meal, plus it tastes good. You get to add all the fixings from their salad bar and the drink is a large with unlimited refills from the fountain.
I still don't like the name of the place and the way it looks, but this is a really good deal if you're not looking to spend a lot during lunch (or dinner).
Also, I finally got to check out their arcade. It's nothing very impressive and some of the games are around a dollar, but it has to be the best the valley's got. |
