I've got a question about Chicano Rap. What defines Chicano Rap? Is it the lyrics? The Image? Or just being Chicano?
Was Calo Chicano Rap? |

i think if you say the words: ese, simon, holmes, or barrio in any of you songs, you're considered chicano rap...or if you have a heavy spanish accent when you rap....or if you're rapping about ranflas and lowriders and pisto and hynas...or if you have a bald head and wear dickies and finish every sentence with: "ey"....or....
i'll just leave it at that... |

“Real” or “Studio” gangsters? Give me a break! I’ll tell you who is the number one gangster it’s the one in prison(La Pinta) with a big ass tattoo of La Eme and he’s not rappin(sic) he’s a rapein(sic). It seems these Rap guys all want to be Puerto Ricans, Nuyoricans, Borrri... etc... . Learn to play an instrument you'll thank yourself in the morning. |
